In Case You Missed It: The Future of Credit 2015

The Herio and Orchard teams join the panel onstage at the Crosby Street Hotel.

We had a great time producing The Future of Credit 2015 with Orchard Platform at New York’s Crosby Street Hotel on October 8th. Over a hundred guests were in attendance as LendIt’s Jason Jones led the panel of industry experts, featuring Herio’s own Sherif Hassan, Matt Burton (Orchard), Terry McKeown (Yodlee), and Brian Korn (Manatt, Phelps & Phillips), in a discussion about the role of technology in marketplace lending’s growth.

The group took a close look at the industry landscape, the availability of new data and it’s role in shaping credit decisioning tools, and the U.S. Treasury’s request for information regarding marketplace lenders earlier in this year, among many more topics.

The consensus about the future of credit? The outlook is bright. “There’s a ton of opportunity to thrive and grow in this industry right now,” according to Hassan. Burton agreed with Hassan’s assessment, adding that “There’s never been a better time to enter this space.”

Couldn’t make it to the panel? Stay tuned: we’ll be releasing video of the entire Future of Credit 2015 event in the near future. In the meantime, check out the gallery of photos on our Facebook page and deBanked’s coverage of the event.
